Magnetic cycling with powered incline and decline
The Lifespan Fitness SM-720i combines a studio-cycle frame with powered changes in gradient. Its magnetic resistance, drop-bar-inspired handlebars and SPD-compatible pedals provide a home platform for varied cycling sessions rather than a simple upright exercise-bike position.
Performance & riding feel
Thirty-two magnetic resistance levels work with a 10 kg flywheel and belt drive. The frame offers eight decline settings down to four degrees and eight incline settings up to nine degrees, changing the bike's angle as you train.
Console & connected features
The display dial presents time, power, speed, distance, incline and resistance. Three preset programs offer starting points for a session, with Wi-Fi and Fitlink compatibility adding connected options on supported devices and services.
Everyday comfort & practicality
The saddle adjusts in height, fore/aft position and angle; the handlebars also adjust to help set the riding position. Wheels and floor levellers support placement, and the supplied adapter accepts 100-240 V input.
Build a repeatable cycling routine
Set the riding position before increasing the effort. A timed session with a comfortable cadence gives you a useful baseline; planned changes of resistance add variety without needing to chase maximum intensity. Adjust the seat so the knee retains a slight bend at the longest part of the pedal stroke.

Choosing your setup
Allow room to mount the bike and to adjust its contact points. Check the listed user capacity and adjustment range against the rider, then level the machine on a suitable indoor surface. Console calories and pulse readings are estimates; any optional apps, screens or sensors need to match the bike and the intended training service.
