Clean city riding with a simple belt drivetrain
The Aventon Soltera 3 ADV takes a pared-back approach to electric city cycling. A slim aluminium frame, rigid fork and single-speed Gates belt drivetrain keep the layout simple, while rear-hub assistance adds help when your own pedalling needs a boost. It suits riders who want a comparatively light urban bike without a conventional derailleur and chain to manage.
Belt drive, fewer shifting decisions
A Gates CDN carbon belt connects the crank to a single rear sprocket. There are no derailleur gears to select, so riding is mechanically straightforward. That simplicity also means the gear ratio stays fixed: motor assistance can help with effort, but it does not give you a lower mechanical gear for a steep climb.
A compact electric system
The Australian version pairs a 250 W rear-hub motor with a battery of approximately 367 Wh. A torque sensor responds to pressure at the pedals, and the display keeps charge and ride information visible. The smaller battery is part of the bike's light urban character, rather than a promise of the same range on every route.
Wheels and control for the city
The 700c alloy wheels use 38 mm Kenda tyres, balancing a useful contact patch with a relatively slim profile. A rigid aluminium fork avoids suspension complexity. Tektro two-piston hydraulic disc brakes and 180 mm rotors provide a dedicated braking system at both ends, with flat-bar controls close to your hands.
A practical starting point for commuting
The step-over frame has internal cable routing and a clean layout. A kickstand and platform pedals are listed in the equipment, while the flat handlebar provides a direct steering position. If your commute involves bags or wet-weather riding, check suitable luggage and mudguard accessories rather than assuming a fully equipped touring package.

Choosing your setup
The Soltera's fixed gear ratio makes your usual hills and cruising pace useful things to consider alongside frame size. The listed Australian version is supplied without a throttle. Manufacturer range figures are estimates, not guaranteed distances: load, terrain and assistance setting matter. We will confirm the available size, colour and final equipment before payment.
