A lighter urban hybrid with a carbon fork
The 2026 CUBE Editor Hybrid Pro 400X combines a compact Bosch Performance SX system with a clean aluminium frame and full-carbon fork. Its fixed integrated 400 Wh battery and listed 17.6 kg weight distinguish it from heavier touring-oriented e-bikes. The coal and prism version shown here uses Shimano Cues eleven-speed gearing, wide urban tyres and hydraulic disc brakes.
A compact mid-drive approach
The Performance SX motor is listed with up to 60 Nm of torque for this configuration. It works through the eleven-speed drivetrain, allowing mechanical gear choices to support pedalling as the gradient changes. The 400 Wh CompactTube battery is fixed inside the frame, so charging and storage plans should account for keeping the bicycle near a suitable outlet.
A clean frame and full-carbon fork
The Aluminium Superlite frame uses internal cable routing and a slider-dropout layout. The Editor carbon fork has internal routing and a 12 x 100 mm front axle arrangement. This is a rigid-fork urban bicycle, so ride comfort is tuned through fit and tyre setup rather than a suspension fork's travel or damping adjustments.
Eleven gears and dedicated braking
The Shimano Cues transmission combines an 11-50T cassette with a 44T front chainring, providing a broad mechanical range. Shimano MT200 hydraulic discs use 180 mm rotors at both ends. Together, the transmission and brakes give you direct control of cadence and stopping alongside the electrical support from the mid-drive system.
Urban wheels and contact points
Continental Contact Urban tyres measure 50-622, giving the 700c wheels useful volume on city streets. ACID EX25 rims are tubeless ready, and the listed build includes a 680 mm handlebar, ACID grips and Venec Lite saddle. A tubeless conversion and commuting accessories are separate setup decisions rather than automatic consequences of the rim description.
