A comfortable low-step companion for everyday travel
The Giant Expression E+ uses a low-step ALUXX aluminium frame and a Yamaha-powered SyncDrive Core mid-drive system. Its 500 Wh EnergyPak battery, front suspension and practical carrying equipment create a city-oriented package for errands, commuting and leisure rides. This description follows the 2024 Australian model represented in the existing listing, rather than a newer bike with a similar name.
Smoothly managed mid-drive support
The SyncDrive Core motor provides 55 Nm of listed torque and drives through the bicycle's gears. RideControl One provides the control interface without a separate screen in the published specification. The 500 Wh EnergyPak battery supplies the system, while selecting a suitable mechanical gear remains useful for efficient pedalling as gradients change.
Comfort in the frame and cockpit
The low-step frame makes mounting accessible, and the 63 mm Suntour Mobie fork adds cushioning at the front wheel. A swept-back alloy handlebar, angle-adjustable stem and comfort grips help create a relaxed riding position. These contact points should be adjusted for the rider's reach rather than relying on frame access alone.
Transmission and braking detail
Shimano Altus shifting and an Alivio nine-speed derailleur work with an 11-36T cassette. Tektro HD-M275 hydraulic discs use a 180 mm front rotor and a 160 mm rear rotor. Schwalbe Big Ben 28 x 2.15-inch tyres have reflective sidewall detailing and provide a broad contact patch for regular city use.
Carrying equipment for daily usefulness
A MIK-compatible rear rack supports matching bag and basket systems, and the listed equipment includes aluminium mudguards and a direct-mount kickstand. Platform pedals and a Selle Royal saddle are also specified. Powered lighting is not listed in the manufacturer's equipment table for this model, so check lights separately rather than assuming they come with the carrier package.

Choosing your setup
The 2024 model has low-step frame options and 700c wheels, but the final frame size should suit both reach and leg extension. Lighting and any selected luggage are worth confirming individually. We will check the available size, colour and supplied components before payment. Real-world battery distance changes with assistance, load and the route.
